Bumpdate: 9 Weeks

Our little nugget at 8 weeks

{This post is a little late so it's based on what was going on before last weekend}

How far along? 9 weeks

What I'm craving?: Still chocolate milk BIG TIME!!!  Glass in the morning and 2 at night.  It just makes my queasiness feel better.  Also, I’m back to wanting chili dogs.  Red hot dogs with chili, onions and mustard…I wanted this everyday with Peyton and it is making an appearance again.  And boy did it give me heartburn with her…but I kept eating because I couldn’t stop.  No heartburn yet though this time around.

Funny/Memorable Story Of The Week:  Well work has had its comical moments but they would only be funny to those who work in Social Services.  Jeffrey has decided to send me a funny text of either a humorous picture or video every day of my pregnancy to make the day go by.  Sweet idea but we just don’t have the same humor about some things haha.

Peyton started her second week of preschool.  We have had some struggles adjusting but for the most part she likes it.

Weight Gain: 6lbs according to the doctor’s scale.

Doctor Appointments: Had my first prenatal appointment last Friday.  I got to have and ultrasound which determined the baby is measuring right on time and then was 8weeks.  I got to see the little heartbeat flutter and it was just perfect.  Just wish Jeffrey could have been there.

I ended up having to wait an hour and a half for my midwife to get back from delivering a baby.  But I didn’t mind at all.

Work-Out Regimen: Still haven’t gotten back to that.  Once I went to the doctor and got the ok I started getting morning sickness so I have NOT felt like doing anything.  Because you know, this stuff just doesn’t come in the morning.

What's Going On With Momma?:  I’m peeing even more frequently, which I didn’t think was possible.  Still so, so, so exhausted…and now I’ve got morning sickness, or all day sickness, or the sickness as I like to call it.  It sucks, just sucks.  I will be so glad when first trimester is over and hopefully I can get back to normal.  I never got sick with Peyton so this is all new territory for me.

Boy or Girl:  Last week I was having a strong feeling it was another girl. I don’t know why but I just did.  Now after getting so sick suddenly I’m thinking boy because it is sooo different from my girl experience.  Though, I know it could just be chalked up to being a different pregnancy.

My mother-in-law had a dream that my sister-in-law and I were both having a boy (even before I knew I was pregnant but right around the time I conceived).  Come to find out my SIL IS having a boy in December and my MIL is totally convinced ours is a boy because of the dream.  So maybe I will just let her be the guide as to what I “think” we are having.

We will hopefully find out right before Thanksgiving.  And a photographer friend of mine has offered to do a gender reveal photo shoot the same day.  All three of us will get to find out in a neat way with balloons and cotton candy.  And best part…all free of charge lol!

Sleep:  Horribly now, having to pee twice a night can really jack up a sleep schedule.

Movement: None.

What I Miss:  Feeling like a normal human being.

What I'm Looking Forward To: Going to the Mountain Lake Hotel for Dirty Dancing weekend.  It’s one of the hotels that the movie was filmed at, where the scenes in the rooms were done.  We are staying in one of the employee cabins.  I can’t wait for a nice cool, fall weekend and an all inclusive fun time celebrating one of my favorite movies.

How Baby’s Growing: Size of a prune.  Get to actually hear the heartbeat at 11week appointment.

The Big Sister: Peyton has hit the 3 year old growth.  And loving preschool!  I can't get enough of this sweet, smart, funny, stubborn girl.

Outfit picture from Dirty Dancing Weekend.  Little tiny baby bump poking through ;)
